Welcome to the First-Generation SAHM, written by me, Abby Roth. After creating Classically Abby years ago as a young wife, I found that following the birth of my children, my passions began to shift towards motherhood, being a stay-at-home mom, and homeschooling.

As the first in my family to be a stay-at-home mom, I know that I’m constantly growing and learning how to take on this amazing role and be better at it than I was the day before. But…IT’S NOT EASY! I’m always looking for advice on how to be a stay-at-home mom since I don’t have that many women in my life to turn to - so this is the newsletter I always wanted in my inbox.

I write about motherhood from a philosophical perspective (how did we get here?) to a practical viewpoint (how to manage your day-to-day with young toddlers), and I ask other women who have more experience for their tips and tricks along the way.

Each week, I share one article ranging from fresh perspectives on being a first-gen SAHM to modest outfits of the week to book reviews…and more.

I live in Florida with my husband and two sons (but we hope to continue to grow our family, with God’s help). I have three degrees in operatic performance, but after getting married and having my children, I fell in love with being a stay-at-home mom - and more importantly, I knew how important it was for me to be a present mother. I am the creator of Classically Abby, a YouTube channel with over 100K subscribers focused on classic living and traditional values.
